Lyrics
[Verse 1]
The thunder rolls across my life
Lightning strikes without a warning
The winds of change tear at my soul
But I can see a new day dawning
I run to You, my hiding place
Where chaos cannot find me
[Chorus]
You are my shelter in the storm
My fortress when I’m worn
Under Your wings I find my rest
In Your arms I am blessed
You are my shelter in the storm
My anchor holding strong
When everything is falling down
In You I’m safe and sound
[Verse 2]
The world says I should be afraid
That trouble’s always coming
But I have learned a greater truth
Your peace keeps my heart from running
[Bridge]
(Spoken word over soft music)
When the diagnosis comes...
When the phone call changes everything...
There is a shelter, there is a refuge
His name is Jesus
[Final Chorus]
(Key change up)
You are my shelter in the storm
My anchor holding strong
In You I’m safe and sound
My shelter in the storm
