The Covenant

Verse 1: Not the contract that you signed Not the deal that's in your mind But the promise cut in blood Before the rain, before the flood Chorus: This is the covenant, older than time This is the covenant, your life and mine Written before the world began Sealed in the palm of His hand Verse 2: Every broken promise healed Every hidden thing revealed What was stolen is restored By the covenant of the Lord (Repeat Chorus) Bridge: Rainbow in the sky still shows He remembers what He owes Not to us but to Himself The covenant needs nothing else
