The Wedding Song

Verse 1: Seventy years since the promise made To a seven-year-old far away Here we stand with silver hair Proving God still answers prayer Chorus: This is our wedding song, after all these years This is our wedding song, through joy and tears What He promised, He completed Love that time has never defeated Forever starts today Verse 2: Your mother knew, my mother too Before we had a clue Now our grandchildren throw the rice On love that paid the highest price (Repeat Chorus) Bridge: Some wait lifetimes for their dance We got ours through circumstance Seventy years to understand We were always in His hands
