Nanny's Song

Verse 1 Who do we call now when the nights get long and hard. who will sing the oldies with us those little tunes that kept us strong. Orange and Yellow were your favorites. Now we picture you above dancing in heavens gentle glow. Wrapped in endless love. Verse 2 You were in pain for so long But you never let it dim your smile We know your free now Finally healed after such a long while Light as a butterfly drifting bright Your spirit steady Your heart made whole Heaven opened up its doors and softly welcomed home your soul. Chorus Now you got your one for your money two for your grand show Nanny three get ready... go cat go Let that sweet spirit go Verse 3 We'll miss you ever single day We'll love you forever and more Your foot steps echo in our hearts like they always did before No more sorrow No more suffering Just peace where angels sing Butterflies and bright skies You earned your gentle wings Verse 4 Though we stand here hurting Teying to be strong as you want us to be We'll carry every piece of you for all eternity Chorus Now you got your one for your money two for your grand show Nanny three get ready... go cat go Bridge Dance across that open sky We'll miss you every day your gone we'll love you forever true Until the day we meet again we'll keep living with a piece of you When you step through heavens gates you weren't alone at all your mama and daddy were waiting Mawmaw reached out to hold you tall Debra and Teresa smiled so wide arms open and hearts finally whole Together they welcomed you home again Surrounded in love surrounded in soul
