Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Lord, I remember when I first believed
When Your love was all I could see
Everything was simple, everything was pure
My heart was Yours, and I was sure
[Verse 2]
But somewhere down this winding road
I let distractions take their hold
The fire that burned so bright in me
Has faded to a memory
[Chorus]
Take me back, take me back
To the place where I first saw Your face
Take me back, Lord, take me back
Restore the joy of my salvation
Take me back to my first love
[Bridge]
(Vocal runs and ad-libs)
I wanna worship like I used to worship
I wanna love You like I used to love You
Take me back to those days
[Outro]
Take me back... Lord, take me back...
