A Brothers Vow

The boy never knew Who his real father was And at just 5 years old He lost his mother to drugs Years in foster houses The young boy would roam Then one summer day A family took him home Now he had a great dad And a loving mother A new best friend His first real brother For the next ten years he was rarely alone His big brother stuck by his side The ran and they played gratuated high school And joined the Marines with great pride Then just one year later with packs and rifles they deployed In the Afghani sand they were soldiers No longer little boys The fightin was fierce They saw many soldiers die They vowed to eath other To always be by their side In the midst of a mission A shot rang from a roof top But before they could get down He saw his big brother drop With his rifle in his hand And tear filled eyes He felt so alone As he watched his brother die Now his brother could not watch over him And help him each day to get by So he stuck to his vow to never leave his side Put his rifle to his head and took his own life.
