We used to talk like every day now it’s quiet in a different way you swear nothing really changed but you don’t look at me that way you said we’d always be close guess that changed overnight all it took was one girl for you to leave and pick a side It’s hard to let you go like this but I just don’t know who you are like everything we built for years could disappear and not look back you said it wasn’t personal just life, timing and space but distance doesn’t grow that fast unless there’s someone taking place while I had your back in every room you kept secrets in the dark you really always knew the truth and let me fall for every lie Did you look at me and feel even a little bit ashamed when I said I thought it’s perfect and you let me think that way It’s hard to let you go like this but I just don’t know who you are like everything we built for years could disappear and not look back and maybe one day you’ll look back when every night feels out of track you’ll miss the way we felt like home before you let it collapse.
