Lyrics
She watched the water
flowing black,
in the river below,
as evening fell.
And on the low wall
of that parapet
tears fell
from her sad eyes.
And she repeated: What
am I still doing
in this world
that brings me only trouble?
And that scene
of immense sadness
suddenly stopped
my steps.
And I stopped like that,
and not by chance,
as if by a voice,
internal, prompted.
And when I saw her
climb onto the parapet,
with my hand,
I grabbed her arm.
She looked at me and
a cry came out,
loudly:
it was
a liberating cry!
She buried her face
in my shoulder: and
her sobs
joined with the crying.
He looked at the water
flowing black,
in the river below,
in the evening light.
And on the low wall
of that parapet
tears fell
from his sad eyes.
It takes very little to
renounce the world:
just a breath of wind and
the time of a second!
God gave us our life:
just as he gave us
"free will"!
But it is not up to us
to sever that thread:
transmitted by the DNA
of our genome!
When we hit
rock bottom,
they say: we rise
again!
But perhaps t
hat's what those who
still want
to hope say.
And so it was
also for that woman
whom destiny
wanted to give to the wind.
I see her often now:
she looks happy!
And in her eyes
I see so much light.
When she meets me:
"my savior," she says!
And she calls me
her "guardian angel."
She looked at the water
flowing black,
in the river below,
in the evening light.
And on the low wall
of that parapet
tears fell
from her sad eyes.
And I stopped like that,
and not by chance,
as if by a voice,
internal, prompted.
And when I saw her
climb onto the parapet,
with my hand,
I grabbed her arm.
Now she lives
her new life
without the thoughts
of a sad mind.
I see her often now:
she looks happy!
And in her eyes
I see so much light.
When she meets me:
"my savior," she says!
And she calls me
her "guardian angel."
