Good Elementary Expectations Warm-Up Song

We are walking the short lines and jogging the long lines. Remember to give some space, find your pace, it’s not a race. Stay on your feet and keep on moving. Keep your hands to yourself, we aren’t chasing our friends. Don’t get too close to people in front of you. Control your bodies and stay on your feet. If you feel like you need to stop because you are getting tired, you were going too fast and should just slow down. Find the speed that is right for you. When we get to the stopping signal, remember to stop, drop, and listen. When we go to our squad lines, remember to walk and not run and slide. When your teacher is talking, you should be listening. If you have something to say, you should raise your hand. Always remember to keep your hands and your feet to yourself. Remember, the more you say, the less we play. Always sit up and face your teacher when they are talking to you. Staying in your own space will help everyone focus. Blurting out ends up being disruptive, and makes it hard for Mr. Miller to keep his train of thought. If you have a question, wait to be called on. Mr. Miller will take questions after his explanation. There is a good chance he will answer your question if you just let him speak. If you still have a question after instructions, he will be more than happy to answer it at that time. Please keep your questions to only questions, as we want to be respectful of everyone else's time. All these things will help us be successful, and make great use of our time.
