The Witness

Verse 1: Eighty-three years of testimony Every chapter of this story From the nail to now I stand As a witness to His plan Chorus: I'm the witness, let me testify Saw the lows and saw the highs What He said, He brought to pass First is last and last is first at last I'm the witness Verse 2: Seen promises delayed not broken Every word that He has spoken Came to pass in perfect time Your story's proof, and so is mine (Repeat Chorus) Bridge: Call me to the witness stand I'll tell them how His mighty hand Turned my ashes into beauty Testifying is my duty Final Verse: If these bones could talk, they'd tell you Every word I speak is true From 1960 to this hour I'm a witness to His power
