God had different plans

Verse 1 We met back at that bible school, You tried to run, i chased you hard But heaven smiled and stepped right in cause God had different plans back then What started small began to grow A love wed lean though highs and lows Chorus You've stood beside me when the road was hard You carried faith when mine fell apart Though every tear and healing hand You never let go you always stand I thank the lord for who you are My compass my home my steady heart Verse 2 The years have tested all we've made one doctors door to the next long hallway But still you stood unshaken true I saw God's strength shine bright in you And when i thought the fight was done You showed me hope still carries on Chorus You've stood beside me when the road was hard You carried faith when mine fell apart Though every tear and healing hand You never let go you always stand I thank the lord for who you are My compass my home my steady heart Bridge Three little hearts now fill our days A home we built through love and grace I thank the lord for what he's done For every blessing everyone Final chorus You've stood beside me when the road was hard You carried faith when mine fell apart And though it all one truth remains Gods love shines bright through joy and pain My advocate my guiding star My forever love my steady heart
