There Will Be a Better Day

Verse 1 When the night feels long and endless And the morning hides its face When the weight upon your shoulders Steals the smile from yesterday When the tears fall without warning And your faith feels far away Hold on to the gentle whisper — There will be a better day Chorus There will be a better day When the clouds have rolled away Every sorrow turned to singing Every trial lost in praise Though the storm may rage around you Hope is stronger than the pain Lift your eyes beyond the shadows — There will be a better day Verse 2 Every valley has a promise Every cross leads to a crown Every seed that falls in sorrow Rises up from sacred ground He is faithful in the waiting He is near though unseen And the dawn is surely coming Even when it’s hard to dream Chorus There will be a better day When His glory lights the way Every burden lifted high Every knee in joy will sway He who walks beside you now Knows the tears that you have prayed Trust the One who holds tomorrow — There will be a better day Bridge (Build with layered harmony) He has never lost a battle He has never missed a tear Every promise written in His Word Is still alive right here Through the fire and through the flood His love will not delay If you can’t see the sunrise Just believe — it’s on the way Final Chorus (Lift / key change feel) There will be a better day When all the dark has passed away Faith will turn to celebration Night will break to endless day And the hand that holds you now Will wipe every tear away Stand firm, hold fast, keep believing — There will be a better day Tag (Held harmony) Yes, there will be… A better day.
